As a great way to wrap up the week of Fort Worth Stock Show activities, Schrick Land and Cattle hosted their first production sale, The Lone Star Crown Event. Much time and preparation was put into this event and the cattle and sale facility were ready for the evening. After a nice meal of burgers and all the fixings, the sale was ready to begin.

Lot 29 – $10,000 – SLC Classy Lady 1CA – This bred heifer out of PCC El Patron 2CA and from KS Ms Classy Lady 367M 1CM sold bred to JSAR Mr Doctor and was purchased by Horsley- Cardinal, Galva, Ill.

Lot 1 – $6,200 – KS Magical Queen 427N 1CA – This tremendous power donor out of PCC Flash Magic PCA and from HB Queen 547G CAX was purchased by Comer Cattle Company, Lynn, Ind.

Lot 11 – $4,300 – SLC Kendall Marie 26M 2CA – This bred female out of Famous 7001 and from the famous PCC Kendall Marie 1CA female sold bred to VOL L.J. and was purchased by Ard Ridge Cattle Co., Nancy, Ky.

Lot 20 – $4,000 – SLC Miss Playboy 949T 2CA – This young show heifer by PCC El Patron 2CA and out of KS Miss Playboy 949M 1CA was purchased by Four Roses Cattle Co., Logansport, Ind.

Lot 1 – $5,000 – HXC Newsmaker 452T 1CM is a 3/10/07 son of CDV Wazn’t Me from HXC Angus 452, a first-calf commercial Angus female. He was purchased by Bradley Clapp, Montezuma, Ind.

Lot 10 – $4,800 – HB Freedom 08T 2CA is a 4/10/06 son of HXC Hammer 46P from HB Ms Patty 088M by GCC Grizz. He was purchased by long-time HXC customer David Cox, Wyoming, Ill.

Lot 35 – $5,800 – HXC Ms Triumph 66K 2CA is a 3/23/00 daughter of Eagle Scout 2CA from HXC Ms Triumph 125F CAX by SANC Playboy CAX. She sold to Sharp Farms, Beloit, Ohio.

Lot 36 – $5,400 – HB Ms Jill 40 1CM is a 3/09/01 daughter of BHCS Heat Seeker from HB Angus 40. She sold to Ryan Gerot, Wapello, Iowa.

Lot 59 – $4,500 – HXC Aristocrat 313S 1CM is a 3/14/06 daughter of SAV 5175 Bando 1024 from HXC Aristocrat 313J CAX by Eagle Scout 2CA. She sold with a heifer at side by WAR Wagonhammer 3521 to Soehnlen Family Farms, Navarre, Ohio.

A beautiful day greeted those in attendance at the Ohlrichs/Went bull sale. With 40 degree weather and the sun shining, a positive mood was set for the buyers. There were registered buyers from 16 states on hand to purchase bulls.
